We have been producing and selling hand carved natural stone fireplaces for many years now, in that time we have seen many changes within the industry. One of the biggest changes has been the rapid introduction of imported stone, at Dimensional Stone Sales we do not use or sell imported stone in any form. We cut all our stone from raw quarry block found in the UK, this allows us to control every aspect of quality selection.In fact we are the only company to currently offer our exclusive range of Yorkshire stone fireplaces, Yorkshire Gritstone fireplaces and Ancaster Limestone fireplaces through a national fireplace retailer network. You can also buy direct from us whether you are local or not.
Natural Stone
We believe it is the unique 'imperfections' in natural stone that make it truly beautiful.
Although we do produce a number of natural stone fireplaces each year, rest assured these natural inclusions still make each surround truly unique, something you will not get with 'pre-cast' or 'reconstituted stone' fireplaces.
You must also bear in mind these stones are between 65-290 million years old, what else can you buy with that age and heritage ?
How are they made?
We are always looking for ways to do our job better, A new saw? A bigger saw?... all very good.
One thing we will not do is fully automate the actual making of our surrounds.
Whilst we utilise CNC technology, each fireplace is still hand finished and inspected by a craftsman.
We only use skilled time served craftsmen, again making every surround truly unique, something no other national manufacturer can come close to.
